At Exeedme, we’re is truly engaged with te mission of developing blockchain technology into the gaming industry. Therefore, we’re pleased to announce that, from now on, we’ll be collaborating with Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA), a coalition of gaming and blockchain gaming companies committed to advocating and exploring blockchain technology within the game industry. It is made of several high profiles in the Blockchain Gaming industry such as Enjin the developer of Microsoft’s Azure Heroes, ConsenSys or Web3 Foundation, the developers of Polkadot, but also of mainstream gaming players such as AMD and Ubisoft.
In the last week of December, our CEO, Nuno Fernandes, took part in a livestream moderated by Sebastien Borget, Co-Founder of Sandbox, and joined by new elite members of BGA such as Aave, SuperRare, Leyline, Onewayblock and Tatum. In this event Nuno presented our vision, advocated that the future is gamer-centric and how $XED and NFTs will be a centerpiece in that future (take a look in minute 15:27)
What is Blockchain Game Alliance?
The Blockchain Game Alliance is an organization committed to promoting blockchain within the game industry by focusing on two key missions:
- Raising awareness about how blockchain can transform games and improve or disrupt existing business sectors.
- Accelerating adoption by overcoming existing barriers through innovation and by catalyzing efforts to create actionable industry standards and best practices.
These two key missions can be achieved by focusing on three main goals:
- Encourage the development of standards and share best practices
Support research, discussion, knowledge sharing, and the recommendation of standards and best practices in the development and use of decentralized technologies. Standards and strong interoperability are key for broad industry adoption, ensuring the further success of the technologies across different companies and structures. - Advance public understanding
Advance wider public understanding and awareness of blockchain games by sharing insights, benefits, and limits of decentralized technologies. The BGA will act as trusted experts on blockchain and games for industry and the media, contributing to improving public understanding. We’ll also look to highlight aspirational efforts in the blockchain games sector. - Provide an open and inclusive platform for discussion and engagement
Create and support opportunities between members and key stakeholders to communicate directly and openly about ideas and issues relevant to blockchain games. We aim to ensure key stakeholders have the knowledge, resources, and the ability to participate fully.
Why have we decided to join Blockchain Game Alliance?
From the beginning, it was clear that Blockchain Gaming Alliance and Exeedme missions are fully aligned — both want to use blockchain gaming technology to the benefit of the gaming industry and community and both believe interoperability as key principle for broad industry adoption.
