One of the most important parts of this partnership is that BetProtocol intends on building a community within Exeedme specific for $BEPRO token holders and stakers. Gaming Software & Infrastructure
BetProtocol is a blockchain-based, Software & Code-as-a-Service protocol for on-chain and off-chain betting systems. Our technology stack features a robust and flexible API, sandbox and production environments, and a visual back-office for fast management of betting platforms from anywhere with an internet connection. These tools are key for any Esports or Casino online gaming startup to quickly and efficiently enter the market.
Exeedme, as a tournament organiser for amateur and professional Esports such as CS:GO, will leverage BetProtocol’s technology to quickly build and deploy on-chain betting systems to augment their tournaments. Exeedme will support five-on-five matches with stakes out of the box in CS:GO, and in the future potential additional betting features such as allowing 3rd parties to bet on tournament outcomes. BetProtocol will provide critical gaming supply and infrastructure for both of these modalities in order to make the Exeedme tournament experience as smooth as possible.
Building on Polkadot
BetProtocol, like and Exeedme, are both building on Polkadot. As blockchain economies emerge on top of DeFi and NFT technologies, it becomes more and more important to have scalability and low fees for fully on-chain systems. Currently, it is very expensive and oftentimes slow to facilitate decentralized exchange, or to otherwise interact with Dapps that require lots of gas for transaction fees. One of the key promises of Polkadot is that bespoke blockchains (called “parachains”) can be created for specific use-cases without runtime dynamic code, while each parachain benefits from the shared security, scalability and speed of the central Polkadot relay chain.
BetProtocol and Exeedme are perfect use cases for parachains specific to betting systems and Esports tournaments. Polkadot allows us to create and deploy fully decentralized and on-chain systems that are cheap and fast to interact with. The DeFi and NFT industries on Polkadot are still nascent, which is why we are building out the first use-cases there to showcase what can be built. We envision Esports products on Polkadot that will allow users to create gamer-centric economies, tournaments, and betting markets that meet or exceed expectations for UI/UX and speed.
Bringing DeFi & NFTs to Esports
One of the main goals of this partnership is to bring both DeFi and NFTs to Esports. The demographics of Esports make perfect sense for the introduction of blockchain, cryptocurrencies and virtual in-game and tradable items. Esports fans are already used to online communities, virtual assets, and trading online. Why not take it a step further by making virtual assets truly valuable (by making them tradable on DEXs and fungible) and truly unique by assigning them a limited edition NFT?
BetProtocol has already built several DeFi products into its product offering, such as Bet Mining. We are also developing DeFi products specific for Esports, including NFTs, which will be cross-chain compatible between Ethereum and Polkadot. Exeedme will work closely with BetProtocol to further refine and develop existing and under-development technologies to accelerate the release of these features. One great example is the leveraging of Bet Mining technologies applied to our Platform and perform Game Mining.
