What a strong week we had!
Thanks again for joining us last week in breaking new ground with the Beta Tournament. We learned a lot and were pleased with the performance of the platform overall. The feedback we gathered is invaluable to improving the platform going forward, and we are grateful for the ongoing input from the community. This test run was important and helped us continue to envision what we are building towards.
This week we also explored in depth our plan to ultimately migrate the platform to Polkadot, and the power of Polkadot in Gaming. Polkadot provides the technology necessary to achieve true interoperability of gaming and transferability of digital assets which is key to our mission — read more about this here.
Continuing off of the buzz of last week, we were featured in The Drum because of our firt tournament ever and for our effort for our efforts in bringing value to amateur gamers across the industry. They highlighted the various ways to earn $XED on the platform, such as game matchmaking between players of similar skill levels and our plans to expand the interoperability of the gaming universe (see the Polkadot linked article above). It is good to see that our message is resonating with so many actors within the industry and the already established communities of players for beloved games such as CS:GO.
At the core of our development goals are of course, the NFTs. The incentive of our model lies in cementing the value of these tokens for our community. This week we announced a partnership with Aleph.im, who provide a unique tech stack that can enable us to go fully decentralized in the future. This includes features such as decentralized databases with file storage, computation, and a decentralized identification (DID) framework. Their peer-to-peer network already connects prominent blockchains like Ethereum, Polkadot, Cosmos, Avalanche, etc. They are already engaged within the gaming industry, and we plan on giving their users a warm welcome through the deidcated gaming community on Exeedme.
