Congratulations to everyone on surviving blue Monday… the dreariest day in January … except for more than 6000 $XED holders which have seen the market respond enthusiastically to all the developments we have shared and are now part of a project that is long term devoted to revolutionise the future of gaming.
This week we revisited the importance of our decision to build the platform on Polkadot. Why the surge of interest in Polkadot? As a reminder, Polkadot is a network protocol that allows arbitrary data (not only tokens) to be transferred across blockchains. Polkadot has the capacity to transfer data across public and open, as well as private and permissioned blockchains. This is critical because as the blockchain infrastructure is developing, each one has its own unique architecture leading to difficulty in syncing. We will explore more details of the Polkadot technology applied for gaming and interoperability in an upcoming article.
To add to our growing list of exciting partnerships for only the first month of 2021… we are very pleased to welcome SpiderDAO! They offer a set of tools which can bring online privacy to the end user. As with our other partnerships we are looking forward to growing the dedicated gaming community within Exeedme for $SPDR token holders and users of the SpiderDAO software and hardware solutions. With existing crossover from players, the transition should be seamless to exclusive tournaments, NFTs, and new SpiderDAO products in the works. The excitement has been building to find out who our four STAR PLAYERS are for the BETA Tournament… and we are about to reveal them, so stay tuned! As the competition for all the gamers community has come to an end, we are now reviewing all the applications and will be announcing the winners tomorrow :)
On the backend, we didn’t stop working on the platform development, especially to make sure the show match runs smoothly and to ensure the best experience to all players — Community Star gamers are demanding so we better get everything perfectly set up. We were also working on the best ways to engage and share these show matches with all our community and cross frontiers to all gaming and crypto communities.
In closing, this was an incredible week of growth for our communities, reaching new heights with 13,000 followers on Twitter this week, and 7,800 followers on Telegram. This traction made us be featured as number 2 in CoinGecko’s Top 10 Trending Coins for USA — in front of daddy Bitcoin and DeFi king Chainlink. The reach extended to the physical world and we were even tagged in some local Zurich street art, adding a milestone to our Sherpa street cred. Celebrating our collective gains this week and looking forward to a strong finish to the month.
